Project: Golden Gate Market
My largest project to date: the historic Golden Gate Market in Sausalito, California. The Market, founded in 1947, is a mainstay of the old town neighborhood.
Branding
Creating the Brand
After years of decay, a private equity group bought the building and brought me on as the creative director for the transformation. My job was to create a logo, build a website, acquire signage, and rebuild the Market brand as the modern and thriving heart of old town Sausalito. Above are the initial logo explorations.
Building the Identity
After the client decided on a box logo (above center), the job of creating employee uniforms, front signage, and everything else began.
Branding the Building
I created a number of large scale signs on aluminum, vinyl, and paper. These included menus, parking, and general branding.
